Citizen of the Year

Pastor of Glen Cove Christian Church, Pastor Tommy Lanham was presented with the 2026 Citizen of the Year Award. He was. celebrated for his infectious enthusiasm and dedication to his congregation and the broader community at large.

NHP-NS is honored to present the 2025 Citizen of the Year Award to Gaitley Stevenson-Mathews from Glen Cove (left). A few years back the VFW suffered damage from a fire and Gaitley was instrumental in all the fundraising to recently get this post back up and running. Also in attendance was Glen Cove Mayor, Pamela Panzenbeck (right) to present several citations.

Exalted Ruler Chris Petrella awarded the 2023 Elk Citizen of the Year Award to Eva Casale, who raises awareness and money for different veteran organizations on Long Island. She annually runs seven marathons in seven consecutive days.

Peter, a member of the Glen Cove Fire Department, organizes the local blood drive, volunteers his time among the Elks and other organizations in the community. Last year he donated his kidney to a stranger in need.
